Artsy Tees

My friend today just gave me the perfect inspiration for a blog. She was talking about what she's going to do with her brother's room after he moves out. She wants to turn it into an art room with white walls so when she's painting she can just get paint ALL OVER THE WALLS! It's genius! So, it got me thinking about some artsy tees. Here are my fave!!

Pair this one with a funky skirt:

Advice

Usually on websites that have to do with fashion, the creators let followers ask for fashion advice. So, now that's exactly what I'm going to do! If you need any advice just comment on the most recent posts. Hope I'll be helpful to you guys!

The Great Debate

Hi everyone! I feel horrible for not writing in a while. Ok, so anyway I'm going to occasionally publish a few posts called The Great Debate, where I showcase something or other, and you debate whether or not it is wearable or just plain ugly! I will not give my opinion as to not influence the opinions of others, so it will be more fun! Anyway this week we have, duhn duhn duh.......

(untitled)

Heyy everyone! I really don't have time to post anything profound, so here are a few tidbits when jean shopping:

  1. DO NOT just go straight to skinny jeans! Take time to think about your body shape and then figure out which jeans might look good on you
  2. DO NOT buy jeans that are just barely long enough. They WILL shrink eventually
  3. DO buy jeans a little darker than you want. Jeans will fade in the wash, especially if you plan on wearing them a lot
  4. DO try on a few pairs. You want to find a comfortable, easy fit that will flatter your body shape. I hate to break it to you, but it takes awhile to find jeans. Set a day for just that.
Hope this is helpful!

Haute Fitness Gear

Sorry I didn't publish a post yesterday. I was at a party and didn't get home until later. Anyway, during the winter when I practically live in sweatpants. They're just so comfortable and warm, plus I have either dance or some other sport, and also the school play, so its just easier to wear sweats. BUT, it is definitely not easier to look like a slob, which is why I've been looking for cute sweats and other workout clothes.

For your sweats you want something cute, but easily movable. (click here)

For your tops it's always easier to wear a tank top and put a sweatshirt on over top. (click here)

For shoes I like Nike the  best. (click here)

That's all for now and btw sorry for not using pictures. I just didn't feel like importing, exporting, and uploading today!

TOMS Shoes

TOMS Shoes have to be the greatest idea ever! Not only are the shoes cute and comfortable, but they have this amazing One for One campaign. Every pair of TOMS bought, a new pair of shoes is given to a child in need. (click here for more info). And ok they're a little pricey, but are sooo worth it! TOMS are adorable and DEFINITELY on m Christmas list this year. Here are a few of my favorite pairs:

Clutch On

Yesterday I went over my posts so far and realized most of them start like this: "Ok, so...." I need to get in the habit of not saying that, so if I start a post like that, YELL at me. Anyway this has nothing to do with what I wanted to talk about, so here it goes.

Lately, I've been seeing clutches EVERYWHERE! I personally prefer to carry a wristlet as opposed to a purse and I'm so excited because clutches are just a little more chic. A lot of girls think that you only use clutches for special occasions, but the are a nice touch to spice up any outfit. Here are a few that I like and some descriptions to wear it with.

Try this one with a pair of skinny jeans and a loose fitting boyfriend tee:

The Perfect Jeans

Ok so jean shopping has to be one of my least favorite things, but I know I need to because I practically live in them. I can never find jeans that fit because I'm really tiny. Anyway I don't know if these will fit, but for all of you normal people out there I hope you like these:

Curly Locks

Ok so I naturally have curly hair and all of my life I have HATED it. Lately, however if it dries right I really like it. I don't know if any of you out there want curly/wavy hair, or if (like me) your hair is curly but just gets poofy, but if so follow this fool proof plan:
  1. Take a shower and wash your hair
  2. Pat wet hair with a towel
  3. Let hair air dry until damp...NOT WET!
  4. Apply a few pumps of Kenra's Curl Defining Creme
  5. Let hair air dry or dry with a diffuser
Hope this is somewhat useful for whoever's listening!

Military Boots

Ok so every magazine I look at I see military boots! THEY ARE EVERYWHERE! Most of the time I can't make up my mind whether or not I like them. I've seen them with dresses, skirts, and tucked into skinny jeans. I'll show you some of the ones I like, but post below what you think about the whole military boots trend.

That One Day...

Have you ever had that one day where everything was going fine (I mean its not perfect, but it'll do) when one thing happens and kaboom! Its sucks. Well, today was that day. I don't won't to go into specifics, so lets just say I'm mad at my dad. Anyway I was thinking of ways to make my day a little better. Of course, I got some sugar cookies my mom just made, but that isn't where I was going with this. I decided to give myself a little spa day (nothing too crazy, I mean come on I have homework and all that jazz). One of the simple little things that I'm going to do is make a sugar scrub for my face. Here's how:

Take some sugar and put it in a bowl
Squeeze one lemon over the sugar
Apply to face with cotton balls/swabs
Rub off

it is the best sugar scrub EVER!

I don't really have any other DIY spa treatments right now, so comment with your own!!

Fresh Face for Fall

wow that title is a mouthful! Ok makeup has to be one of the most important things when it comes to fashion. Without the right makeup you just feel blah. There are a lot of trends going around for fall, but my favorite has to be the fresh face....

For eyes......the new urban decay makeup palette is perfect. Swipe on a few colors (watch kandee johnson on youtube for the how-to) add a few coats of mascara, and voila! (although if you're like me you probably will add some eyeliner!)

http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?id=P267200&shouldPaginate=true&categoryId=3806

For face.......if you must use a little concealer and foundation, but don't go crazy. The whole point of the fresh face is for your face to actually be natural.

For lips....swipe on a peach/nude lipgloss and you're good to go!

hope you all like it!

Fall-ing for Sweaters

Fall has to be my favorite season. I love everything about it. The air, the smell, the colors, but right now I'm so excited about the sweaters! In some areas like mine, it isn't cold enough yet for sweaters, but it'll get there soon. Right now my fav sweaters are: (here), (here), and (here). Thanks for reading and remember, stay fashionable!!

On the Chic Side...

If there is any one out there reading this blog this is for you. For now I'm going to keep information about myself private (just incase there's any stalkers out there), but I've been wanting to start a fashion blog. This is my first so we'll see how it goes. I really love fashion and am constantly looking for the latest fashions, but I'm also a regular teen. I don't have the money to buy designer clothes and most other people don't either, so for my blog when and if I post links it will be to more affordable stores. For now I'm going to try to post at least once or twice a week and hopefully when my blog kicks off I can post more often. So for all those reading thanks and stay fashionable! (I will probably post my first entry tomorrow!)
